Erica is a fifth-generation Chinese American director based out of Los Angeles. Her first film "Americanized" became Oscar-Qualified after winning "Best Narrative Short" at Cinequest, her second film “Off Fairfax” premiered at Tribeca, and her latest film “The Ghost” was produced by Disney’s Launchpad alongside Executives from Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm and is currently streaming on Disney+.

Aside from narrative directing, Erica’s commercial work has been featured in Shots, Muse by Clio, and recognized as AdAge’s “Editor’s Pick” and “Pick of the Week.”  She has worked with clients such as Meta, BBDO, Google, Verizon, Bank of America, and Procter & Gamble.

As the winner of the Academy Gold Fellowship for Women, Erica is developing her debut narrative feature with the support of The Academy of Motion Pictures, in partnership with the luxury brand CHANEL. Additionally, as a fellow of the Disney Entertainment Television Directing Program, Erica directed an episode of “General Hospital,” the longest-running multi-camera drama in history, for ABC Studios.

Erica is a dramatic storyteller who often explores themes of family and personal growth through her character-driven films. She attributes her visual style and rhythmic editing to her background in both cinematography and dance. Inspired by her Oakland roots, Erica’s creates work that reflects the community in which she grew up.
